A terrifying video circulating online is a stark reminder of the importance of ensuring children are properly restrained in vehicles.
The footage shows two toddlers walking in the middle of a Texas highway after being ejected from a vehicle during a crash on Sunday.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez confirmed that a two-car accident occurred on August 11 on Interstate 10 in Freeport. One of the vehicles flipped multiple times, throwing out an adult and two small children.

“The kids stood alone, which is a good sign. Just scraped up,” the original poster of the video noted.
In the video, two men can be seen rushing toward the dazed toddlers, quickly moving them to safety.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, and charges are likely to be filed against the driver.
It remains unclear whether the children were in car seats or properly restrained at the time of the accident.
The toddlers were taken to a nearby hospital and are reported to be in serious but stable condition. The occupant of the other vehicle was unharmed.
These children were incredibly fortunate. Let’s keep them in our thoughts and prayers for a full recovery from this traumatic event.
