This story is about a beautiful 25-year-old mare.
In Frankfurt, Germany this magnificent white Arabian horse goes for a walk every day. She goes alone and she does not need any guards or jockeys. Because she knows where she is going very well.
Jenny the mare was ridden this way by her loving owner. Sadly he died 15 years ago.
The gentle horse goes out for a morning to walk around the city every day even after his death.
Previously she didn’t walk on her own. She was a part of a horse-drawn caravan by her owner Warner Weischedel. At the age of 82, Warner died.
Over time, the black mare who was Jenny’s friend named Charlie also died of old age. Therefore the wife of Weischedel decided to walk the horse the same way that the owner rode her.
Jenny was first accompanied on her walks in the morning.
Later she realized that the mare could handle it on her own. Since then Jenny has been released from the stall every day, and she calmly walks through the streets of the city. She is following her memorized route that she used to.
She is very familiar with her native path and she moves around like any other pedestrian who walks in the area. It seems like a lonely horse walking around the city but she is not lonely.
Weischeal’s wife even works with Frankfurt law enforcement to make sure Jenny and the people around the town are safe. As a result, it is been 15 years but no single incident involving a Whitehorse.
Among the locals, Jenny has become a celebrity. They are looking forward to meeting the mare. Some people stop to greet and pet her. They even treat her and clean up after her. She was famous only among her community in Frankfurt but now she brings smiles to people around the world.
