Donald Trump Comments on Prince William’s Appearance After Their Meeting

Donald Trump Shares Thoughts on Prince William After Paris Meeting

Donald Trump is known for speaking candidly, and his recent remarks following a meeting with Prince William were no exception. The former U.S. president and the Prince of Wales met in Paris late last year, where Trump described their interaction as both positive and memorable.

The meeting took place during the reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral, which had undergone extensive restoration following a devastating fire in 2019. Trump and Prince William reportedly discussed a range of topics, including their families and the health of King Charles III, who has been undergoing cancer treatment.

At the time, King Charles had scaled back his public engagements, with Prince William stepping up to fulfill royal duties in his absence.

Reflecting on their meeting, Trump spoke warmly of the Prince, telling the New York Post:
“He looked really, very handsome last night. Some people look better in person. He looked great. He looked really nice, and I told him that.
And I asked him about his wife, and he said she’s doing well. I asked about his father, and he said his father is fighting very hard. He loves his father and his wife, so it was sad.”

Trump added, “We had a great talk for half an hour—maybe a little more. It was a great, great conversation.”

The former president has previously spoken about his encounters with the British royal family, notably claiming that Queen Elizabeth II was fond of him. “Many people have said I was her favourite president,” he once said.

More recently, Trump extended well wishes to King Charles during a conversation with UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer. A spokesperson from Downing Street confirmed: “The Prime Minister spoke to President Trump this evening. The president opened by wishing His Majesty the King best wishes and good health.”

Earlier this year, Trump also weighed in on Prince Harry’s status in the U.S. Amid calls from a think tank to review Harry’s visa—citing his admission of drug use in his memoir—Trump dismissed the idea of deportation.

“I don’t want to do that,” he said. “I will leave him alone. He has enough troubles with his wife. She is terrible.”
