Tristan Weigelt, a 26-year-old tattoo apprentice with extensive body modifications, recently gained attention when he revealed what he looked like before turning his body into a living canvas.

Weigelt began his quest to cover 95% of his body in tattoos at the age of 20.
“It’s strange to see myself without all the tattoos,” he told the Daily Star. “But at the core, I’m still the same person.”
He mentioned that the tattoos on his face and head were the most painful, describing the experience as feeling like his skin was being scraped with a metal brush.
“The process took six full-day sessions, each lasting five to six hours, and the pain level was about eight out of ten.”
While many people get tattoos with deep personal meanings, Weigelt explained that his body art doesn’t carry any hidden messages or significance.
Over the past five years, Weigelt has spent $50,000 on his tattoo journey.
