His owner said that he was given up because he was so affectionate and too vocal. He is so sweet and loves to be pet and rub against you, but his former owner has informed them that it annoyed her too much!
They were crushed that someone had chosen a cat like that sweet and given up on her so badly. The staffers were surprised to have a cat surrendered due to being too affectionate, as most of the adopters are looking for affectionate cats! The staff their selves believe that there is no such thing as cuter than affectionate cats!
Poor Jerry had no idea why he is brought to the shelter and was heartbroken and confused. He was nervous and even hidden from potential adopters. But he slowly warmed up to the staff members and loved getting as huge attention that possible.
His new friends at the shelter knew that there were many people out there who can appreciate a cat like him. They posted a note near him and also posted a TikTok about him. The next morning there was a line outside the shelter of people who needed to bring him home, including his new owner!
They saw the TikTok and ran to the shelter in the morning to adopt him. They were the first in the line of people who saw the video and were hoping to adopt him that morning.
Jerry is now settling into his new life and loving it. He has been through a lot of heartbreaks in his life, but finally has the loving family he deserves.
