When you have your lovelies around, you have everything with you. Last week, the Animal Charity of Ohio, which is a non-profit humane society got a call. it said that a family of dogs needed their help. The operations director of the nonprofit Jane MacMurchy and a human agent arrived at the address to find a mother and her two puppies living in filth.
It was clear that the owners were not caring for dogs, and the little family had Learned to depend on each other. Their condition was terrible.
The owners surrendered the 5-month-old puppies named Peaches and Layla to the rescuers. . Also there was their 7 years old mom Lady.
While a veterinary checkup found that the dogs were healthy the puppies lacked confidence. They had no idea what to do when their mom wasn’t there to show them. Then they saw Peaches and Layla hugging each other to comfort them in the shelter.
The little family is living together at the shelter where they’re learning what it means to be safe. They are giving them multiple times a day to relax and get some TLC in a quiet room and with a staff member to learn them how to trust. They do much better when their mother is around. So they work for all three at once As well as individually. It will help them to be confident on their own.
Just a few days after her rescue Lady was already confident on her own. She was eager to meet new people and go on walks. However her two puppies the socialization process was going to take a bit longer.
When Peaches and Layla are finally ready for adoption, they will hopefully go to a home together. They will get hugs from each other and from their loving new family too.
